Here's another suuuuuper late post and this would entice (I hope!) all fashion lovers out there. It's the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer Collection 2012 Day 2 in SMX Convention Center. Before I start thank you Runway Productions for the invite. I was seated fourth row (not bad at all) though I was hoping to be seated at least in third row just like in the previous years.

Former Hinge Inquirer Advertising Person and now an Assistant Creative Director for a creatives agency Jesse-as always he is on a quirky and unconventional ensemble that only him can pull it off

Now let me present to you some of the collection for Spring/Summer 2012 from the noted and up and coming young designers. (Forgive me for the photos, some were not taken properly for there were lots of heads in front of me.)

Show-opener for that day was Derick Hibaler

Below photos are the collection of MEGA's YDC winner Russel Villafuerte. He plays on textures like sheer, faux leather, sequins among others. Please see after the jump:

Below photos, we would see how designer Ulysses King produced saccharine-colored resort/summer wears and the forgiving colors of blacks and greys:

The finale designer was the very talented Veejay Floresca. Based from experienced everytime I do an interview with him he is very accommodating and would gladly say "yes" and you know that his feet are firmly planted on the ground no matter how far have he become as a fashion designer. The interesting part of his show was the models were clad in a very unique eyeglasses and of course Floresca's designs.

Attending Philippine Fashion Week is always fun for the loot bags and drinks and this year it was care of Loreal Philippines. Cheers to Filipino fashion and Filipino designers!!!
It's the day after Christmas and we as family are enjoying conversations and the left overs from the traditional "Noche Buena." But before I post about my holiday adventure let me do a quick post on my travel last November- yes its too late-from my previous post I have been busy with work and Christmas parties left and right. Let me share with you my Semirara Island experience, Semirara is an island in the province of Antique. The stay was only overnight but its worth it for we were aboard via private plane (Semirara has no commercial airport) courtesy of DMCI Homes Inc.

This was the private plane that brought me to the exotic island of Semirara.

Part of the trip was going to Semirara Mining Corporation. This is not my thing but I was in awe when I saw how gigantic the coal mining of the Consunji's and also it was my first time to be in a mining site-such a surreal experience.

Look how deep the site is and its deeper when you see it in person

Since it is an island, I was supposed to take a dip in crystal clear water of the island but I have no chance for I was shooting the area for work-related purposes

The beach of Semirara Island shares the same stretch as Boracay Island. Remember next to Antique province is Aklan where Boracay is located. Look at how pristine the sand is, though it is not as powdery white as Boracay
