It was another not so tiring photo shoot for a print ad that we styled last Tuesday. We started 11:00 AM and the shoot finished at around 6:00PM, we styled 30 models but only 10 we're in need of "hard-core" styling until the creative director from the ad agency decided to keep the styling at very minimal- he wanted it to be very simple and no accessories at all. Sigh! The day before the shoot Christine (head stylist) and I even went shopping for accessories that we can use for the print ad of a telecom, too sad we didn't implement what we've thought a night before. The "excessories" we bought can be used in the future styling jobs and for Christine's personal use since most of them are for girls. For this shoot, photography is by BUG NIEVA, make-up is by JEN DELICA (former AVON chief make-up artist) and her team and styling from WHIZ CIRCLE INC.
What I enjoyed most during photo shoot is meeting the models and try to experiment the clothes on them because of their "almost" perfect physique, whatever you put on them looks so good.

plaid top from Forever 21 (stylist's own) black skinny jeans and sneakers(model's own)

multi-colored shirt with hoodie (stylist's own), khaki pants and Lacoste sneakers (model's own) neon green headphones (stylist's own)

the plainest style- all outfit (model's own) necklace (not seen, stylist's own)

Complete wardrobe (stylist's own)

Below photos are from behind those expensive lenses:

In between shoots and if we find time, we strike a pose for the camera but not to the photog just our own handy digicam:

At the end of the day it was still all fun, fun and fun at work even though I had an adhesive tape on my wrist and lots of clamps on my shirt ( no photos)- that's all part of the job which I truly enjoyed. Just wait for the print ad in major glossies and broadsheets across the country in the coming months and give us your thoughts about the styling of the clothes. You can put your comments below.

One of my life's most prized possessions are my friends. We rarely see each other because of our own busy lives but just last Tuesday I met with some of my best gay friends. It was a night full of "pamps" (as we call it in gay lingo), a bit of alcohol and heart breaking stories of my dear closest friend Jairo. Seriously, I super miss all of them, I wish that we can plan a get-together so we could catch up and bring back the fun we had during college days. Please see below photos if you want to see how fab gays dine out during weeknights.

Then after in Ortigas Jai, Rich and me headed to Makati to meet up with another dear friend who just arrived from Dubai.

I'm here with Bessy, our friend from Dubai

The following day, I met again with my darling friend Mac over lunch. I was in the same area for I got my new denim short (will blog about it on confessionsofalvin.blogspot.com). Over lunch we talked about bags, laptops and his office gossips but I won't spill it.

My good friend Mac in Dunhill striped shirt, Zara belt, H&M trousers, Zara leather shoes and her accessory of the moment his Prada mini pouch in black. Do I hear a candidate for Preview's Best Dressed List? We'll see...

One of the most magnificent weekends I had (too bad I wasn't home on Mother's day) was spent just recently in Dumaguete City and in Dauin in Negros Oriental. It was work with a bit of pleasure. First it was the launch of PLDT MyDSL in awesome Dumaguete, they had concert which I was in-charged of the program. That's it!!!

Going on a lighter side, I stayed in a peaceful and so relaxing Bahura Resorts and Spa. The place is amaZing, green-grass field, quiet environment, near the beach, friendly staff and cozy, gigantic room. Perfect for some R&R. For vivid understanding, please check photos:

About to go kayak-ing alone

Bahura is a Spanish word meaning reef, there is a coral reef that is to be seen in Bahura Resorts and Spa. The beach is not made of white sand, this a marine sanctuary resort wherein you can see colorful fishes and other sea creatures. I felt a little bad because I didn't get a chance to try snorkeling so I can witness the wonders of the under sea, I had no one with me to do it and nevertheless, I still enjoyed the place by myself-I had a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This is my fave place in the resort, where I stayed in a "kubo" enjoying the breathtaking ocean

Planning your own R&R, check their website. www.bahura.com
Welcome to my new blog entitled: "Adventures of an Aquarian". Why? I am an aquarian-as simple as that. This blog will be an on-line diary of my travels, hobbies, things that I will try for the first time, quick trips to various restaurants and something in between. Please take time to read on my first aquarian adventure here in the world of the bloggers.

Last week was a bit busy, I had meetings with the client and suppliers, errands to do and so on and so on. I was out of the office for a week, I only reported if I needed to meet with the editor for the AVP and video loop for my work trip over the weekend (that's another story to be blogged). With all the traffic and the unforgiving scorching heat of summer, I decided to treat myself with a good food and something I never tried before. One hot lunch time, I tried on this "homey" resto along Tomas Morato called "Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee". This tiny restaurant it's not new, it runs for many years now. Fast forward to what I ordered, I had lasagna but the filling is not beef but chorizo.

In all honesty, the taste is not exceptional for a price of 185 pesos, I feel a bit "lugi" instead I should have eaten to somewhere else like in Secret Recipes or in Metro Recipes. But then again that chorizo lasagna doesn't end the career of Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee. The next time I'll take a trip there, I will have something coffee and cake. Until my next foodie adventure.
