Here's another suuuuuper late post and this would entice (I hope!) all fashion lovers out there. It's the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer Collection 2012 Day 2 in SMX Convention Center. Before I start thank you Runway Productions for the invite. I was seated fourth row (not bad at all) though I was hoping to be seated at least in third row just like in the previous years.

Former Hinge Inquirer Advertising Person and now an Assistant Creative Director for a creatives agency Jesse-as always he is on a quirky and unconventional ensemble that only him can pull it off

Now let me present to you some of the collection for Spring/Summer 2012 from the noted and up and coming young designers. (Forgive me for the photos, some were not taken properly for there were lots of heads in front of me.)

Show-opener for that day was Derick Hibaler

Below photos are the collection of MEGA's YDC winner Russel Villafuerte. He plays on textures like sheer, faux leather, sequins among others. Please see after the jump:

Below photos, we would see how designer Ulysses King produced saccharine-colored resort/summer wears and the forgiving colors of blacks and greys:

The finale designer was the very talented Veejay Floresca. Based from experienced everytime I do an interview with him he is very accommodating and would gladly say "yes" and you know that his feet are firmly planted on the ground no matter how far have he become as a fashion designer. The interesting part of his show was the models were clad in a very unique eyeglasses and of course Floresca's designs.

Attending Philippine Fashion Week is always fun for the loot bags and drinks and this year it was care of Loreal Philippines. Cheers to Filipino fashion and Filipino designers!!!
It's the day after Christmas and we as family are enjoying conversations and the left overs from the traditional "Noche Buena." But before I post about my holiday adventure let me do a quick post on my travel last November- yes its too late-from my previous post I have been busy with work and Christmas parties left and right. Let me share with you my Semirara Island experience, Semirara is an island in the province of Antique. The stay was only overnight but its worth it for we were aboard via private plane (Semirara has no commercial airport) courtesy of DMCI Homes Inc.

This was the private plane that brought me to the exotic island of Semirara.

Part of the trip was going to Semirara Mining Corporation. This is not my thing but I was in awe when I saw how gigantic the coal mining of the Consunji's and also it was my first time to be in a mining site-such a surreal experience.

Look how deep the site is and its deeper when you see it in person

Since it is an island, I was supposed to take a dip in crystal clear water of the island but I have no chance for I was shooting the area for work-related purposes

The beach of Semirara Island shares the same stretch as Boracay Island. Remember next to Antique province is Aklan where Boracay is located. Look at how pristine the sand is, though it is not as powdery white as Boracay

I know, it's been over a month now since I last put an entry on my blogsite. While writing this quick post in the office, I am working on some upcoming events for the company I work with. These past few weeks is pretty darn busy, I can't even de-clutter my room and go to a waxing salon and have my hair in the legs removed, that's how I am pre-occupied lately. To all my dear readers and followers on this blog (if there is), will try to write on my latest adventures and what made my October. For some spoiler, I will write down about the Philippine Fashion week Spring/Summer 2012 collection. So watch out for it. And for now I have to say "adios" for a while. See you! For the meantime and if you are interested on my daily activities and mishaps follow me on twitter, twitter.com/@iamalvinlove.

From my last post about the hot Cosmo Bachelor Bash which was so hot and made our September a summer season! Let's have a quick break and for a few minutes let's get a little younger and "kikay" (like those times during high school and early college) and let's meet the cuties from Candy Fair 2011! Again, I was all access on this event. Thank you Summit Media and PLDT MyDSL Watchpad!

Cute boys lining up backstage as they were part of the opening number

Kyle Sparks, 20y/o guy from UP Diliman. Among the non-celebrity cutie that I interviewed, he has a personality and he answers really well

Girls and gay teenagers went wild screaming for the candy cuties, lots of stuff and activities we're in store for the candy girls to enjoy while waiting for the Candy celebrity cuties.

This was one of the many booths during Candy Fair 2011. With its color, it's so "girlie" so I didn't give a try. But from what I saw, it was a sponsored booth from lip ice (I hope I remember it right).

And now let's get "kilig" as I present to you the celebrity Candy Cuties of 2011:

Actor and VJ Robi Domingo in denim on denim

Rap heir and Candy Cutie Number 1, Elmo Magalona

On this day, he was my ultimate crush. Charming eyes and smile of young actor Albie Casino

Multi-hyphenated and another Candy Cutie Number 1 Sam Concepcion (Sam is a tv host, tv, movie and theater actor, singer and dancer plus product endorser and many others under his belt).

Look at those arms of the Candy girls as they reach for their ultimate Candy Cuties.

Another eye candy post for my dear readers, it makes me want to go back when I was 16 years old and make friends and a little "landi" to those young Candy boys. And those young Candy Cuties will be the future of Cosmopolitan's Bachelor Bash, we just have to wait for them! Hahaha :-) To know more of the Candy Cuties grab a copy of Candy magazine and choose Elmo Magalona and Sam Concepcion as a cover boy.

Men! Men! Men! Not just ordinary men but they are all "eye candies!" I'm talking about the swoon worthy event of the country's favorite and fun fearless magazine for the women and gays alike, Cosmopolitan's Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2011! The World Trade Center Hall A was filled with girls, gays and of course gorgeous men garbed only with two choices of undergarment: briefs/boxers and jeans! 69 (what a naughty number, LOL) of the hottest men and 10 celebrity centerfolds sans the Younghusband's (as of press time, they're still grieving from the demise of their mother)made the whole crowd sizzle with "kilig"! Now that's really to watch out for!

Jake Cuenca during rehearsal (photo taken form the control booth w/c was on the right side of the hall, tssk, tssk)

Now let's see some of the pics I took and what happened backstage:

This is Jake Cuenca, on this photo, I didn't use a flash for this was a stolen shot backstage.

When I was backstage, it was a feeling of excitement yet I have to be composed and not easily drawn on the "ala-Adonis" bodies of the models, I didn't even take lots of photos of celebs because aside from my personal reasons, I was working that time for the portion buy (a jargon from the advertising world)of our client. Here are some photos of me backstage while at work:

I was giving instructions to Kat Alano-also one of our hosts for the live streaming of the Bachelor Bash on www.pldtwatchpad.com

A once Cosmo Centerfold, Rich Herrera

Part of our job was to interview on some hotties, one of them is Brapanese model and one of this year's centerfold Hideo- he is a real charmer with his smile.

And now let's see the men, all of them:

In all honesty, that night was a real treat for me seeing those men half naked! For those who failed to come in the event you still have a chance for Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2011 will be aired on ETC (date and time to be announced) and for exclusive backstage action you can view it on www.pldtwatchpad.com if you are a PLDT MyDSL subscriber.
